While not cheap the price was less than other companies with good reputations offered. More importantly there was no scare tactics used to try to get me to to do more than needed. The guys working on my basement were friendly and hard working.Now, this is part is not a review on them but a warning to people like me who forget what they have till it’s gone. The only negative I had of the whole experience was due to my naivety. They told me before they started to let them know what I wanted to save. They said they would try to save any valuables that they could. Unfortunately, I forgot some things were down there and valuables can be subjective. However Mastertech’s technicians exceeded my expectations remediating a mold issue in my home caused by a leaky pipe in the wall. They expertly contained the work area to prevent spreading contamination and removed all infected materials and thoroughly cleaned what remained. They worked diligently, quietly and left the work area cleaner than when they arrived. She said, "the house is making us sick". Finally after months of doctor visits and medication Maureen decided we should check our basement. Why we did this was because we had a water problem 2 summers prior and XYZ Company did the water cleanup. Well to my dismay we detected some mold in the corners. We immediately contacted Master Tech Environmental due their internet quality reviews. Mr. Tom Duff visited the same evening. He went right to the basement and in no time discovered black mold which was under the linoleum in our partially finished side. The test equipment detected numbers that were ridiculous and sickening. Tom discussed in detail what his team of professional would do and how we would be well protected after the mold remediation. We schedule the cleanup.A team of 5 members, headed by Tony arrived shortly after receiving the proposal and contract. There was no holding the crew back. Tony and Mark walked me through their program which took four days.Not once did they slow down working as a team they completely emptied the base of years of clutter on one side and a complete array of desks, computer equipment, bookcases filled with hardback, paperback and audio books all which was lost to the mold. Not only did we lose the office in its entirety but seasonal clothes and coats, decorations etc. What a disaster.For the better part of two days they removed everything from the basement. Only certain items were able to be kept. Oh boy!The came the mold removal process. The team completely set up a plastic chamber from the entry door to the cellar steps. Over the next two days they went about the remediation. What a task at hand. The team did an awesome job. Afterwards, a walk through and discussion of all that had been cleaned was led by Tony. What a job that they did.That was not the last of Master Tech. Just this month we had another homeowner issue which resulted in a flooded basement. After calling the insurance company, the Horizon and Delmonte Waste Removal, I called Tom at Master Tech.Tom promised me he would have a team to my house that day. Thankfully Tony and Mark arrived around 4:00 and went right to work. Four hours later and looking a little tired, they had the fans and dehumidifier running full speed to dry out the waterless basement. If not for them I do believe my wife would have traded me and the house in for a glass of wine.Thank you Tom, Tony, Mark and the mold team! Granite Cutz16:44 17 Jun 22I am very pleased with the service MasterTech Environmental has provided to me. They have been honest, reliable, reasonable, and competent. I’ve had the pleasure of having Tony come out to do a mold inspection/ second opinion assessment for me at my home due to dealing with a mold company that my builder had sent out who I felt did not do proper remediation and they were in denial. Tony came out and did a very thorough inspection and long behold he pointed out visible mold to me and the tests did come back and indeed determined that there was still mold left after a different company so called remediated the issue completely. Tony provided a sense of relief after he educated me about my situation and the options that were available to me. I then pursued to have MasterTech come out to complete the job for me due to not confiding in the other company to do their job competently. Tony and Wayne came out to complete the remediation and I felt such a relief like I just got my home back. I no longer have anxiety knowing that my home was professionally remediated. They both did such an amazing job and Tony always made himself available as well for any concerns or questions that I may have. Such a great experience. I suspected I had mold on my floor joists but after a thorough look at my old unfinished basement and crawl space, we found that I didn't have anything immediate to worry about.

The owner Tom was invaluable. He not only explained all the work, but his engineering expertise uncovered several other dangerous trouble spots for us - answered why house was sinking/revealed vents opened by previous owner, causing needless payment for ac and heat of a large storage area for 20 years, need for retaining wall outside to stop water entering foundation, etc. (MasterTech could not make all corrections, but alerted us to the need, and told us what was not necessary to do!) Tom also helped us file for insurance, and most of the cost was covered!
The crew - 3 men, were always prompt, courteous, very clean, and communicative. They sealed my inside crawl space entrance, and did all their work through a small opening in the foundation.
